Cyber Hygiene for Hospitality

Hospitality environments operate dozens of connected systems — PMS, POS, access control, VoIP, IPTV, surveillance, and guest WiFi — each representing a potential attack surface. Many legacy deployments lack even basic segmentation between these systems.

Baseline controls including network segmentation, patch governance, multi-factor authentication, and guest WiFi isolation reduce the most common and preventable exposures. These are not expensive projects — they are fundamental operational standards.

An incident response playbook aligned between technical and operational teams is the difference between a contained event and a full operational crisis. Hospitality properties should test their response procedures annually, not wait for an incident to discover the gaps.
